On 21st December 2020, the planets Jupiter & Saturn aligned themselves in the sky. At less than 1/10th of a degree apart, they will appeared as one 'star.' It's the closest they have ever been since the 17th century. Image below taken on 20th Dec 2020. Sadly our entire country was covered in cloud that night.
The 'dashes' below are of the space station from our garden. I put cloth over the camera every 7 seconds to show how fast it travels across the sky. Comet NEOWISE is seen to the right in the picture.
