The seasons are caused by the Earth's tilt alone. As the Northern hemisphere tilts toward the Sun., it's hotter as it's higher in the sky. The winter is in reverse.

The Earth is a unique planet in many ways. The obvious fact is its variety of living organisms including one called Humans that claim to be in control - strange species. Other unique features are buried deep inside, it is the only planet that has moving continents and a changing atmosphere by those interfering humans.
