HOURS

Monday - Friday: 9am-5.00pm

For large events West of London, we can offer a twin - dome service in corporation with Simon Ould of Space Odyssey Planetarium. In other areas, we work with Melanie Davies from Hastings - below.

availability

Our planetarium service is probably the most experienced in the UK. Four different sized domes are available that can handle up to 120 pupils in one show at a time plus staff. We work in schools within Beds, Berks, Bucks, Cambs, Essex, Hants, Herts, Kent, southern Norfolk, Oxon, Suffolk, Surrey & Sussex. We will consider working in any area.

School & public bookings Dates available;

Half days from and full days from 19th May 2025 - Mondays to Fridays.

We are offered over 400 bookings a year but can only physically service around 230 schools of all age ranges. We normally work Monday to Friday. Booking any mobile planetarium service, help keep coaches off the road saving congestion, emissions and oil depletion. We entertain around 38,000 people a year, equal to 580 coach trips to a static planetarium. We do visit two venues (sometimes three) most days, so an early booking allows more opportunities a year for us to visit. Along with 'super-scrimping' this spreads out our costs and keep prices down as much as we can. We don't buy in the latest technology just because it's available. We believe in providing a service that any school or organisation can afford.

We do like to keep all half terms and some longer school breaks free of bookings as these are the best times for maintenance & upgrading equipment, servicing vans and rest.

The available dates from 14th July 2025 will be...

13th to 17th October 2025

10 to 14th November 2025

2nd to 14th March 2026 (including Science Week)

8th to 12th June 2026

Cubs, Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, Scouts Dates available for Monday to Thursday evenings during school term time. Limited to 2 bookings per half term due to other workloads.

Regarding birthday parties, Cubs, Scout, Brownies, Guides events etc, we have a friend, Caroline Beevis that specialises in Space themed events. Her website link..  www.spacetalks.co.uk

Public events: We feel the service isn't suitable as it is lecture based; not compatible with screaming babies, children wondering around the dome in the dark etc. One guy insisted a dog accompanied him inside, then peed on the floor;  the owner accused the dog.
